Case Study

In 2003, Northgate became the first engineering firm to obtain approval from the State of California for the unrestricted residential use of former disposal site. As a result of Northgate's efforts, new homes are currently being built on the Tourtelot Property in Benicia, California. As the munitions and explosives contractor for the Tourtelot Cleanup Project, Northgate managed every aspect of the project from the preparation of project documents to execution in the field. Northgate's multi-disciplinary approach on the Tourtelot Cleanup Project, which involved the application of proven methodologies, geosciences and traditional grading, is widely recognized as the model for the future of the MEC industry.
